Training

We train all breeds; not just labs!

We offer private lessons, group classes, and board and train options here at Black Oak Retrievers. As an AKC Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, we are also able to offer classes and AKC Certification tests.

Board and Train:

Every board and train client goes home with a new e-collar, a leather leash, a written training guide, and any other tools utilized during training. 2 private lessons are included in every board and train program. One upon pickup of the dog, and anither within 3 weeks of pickup.

1 Week: Basic Obedience: $1,150

2 Week: Basic and Advanced Obedience: $2000

3 Week: Therapy dog prep, shed dog, or behavioral modification: $2850

Private lesson options:

Individual Private Lesson: $90/hour

6 Lesson Package: 1 hour lesson per week (obedience, shed hunting, therapy dog): $450 ($75/hour)

Service dog training is offered in individualized cases. Please contact us with questions regarding training a service dog. Not every dog is an ideal service dog candidate, and we evaluate every situation on a case by case basis.

Other types of training we provide includes but is not limited to:

Reactivity training, socialization, gun dog introduction, puppy training, confidence building, and separation anxiety

*We do not work with or board aggressive dogs*
